Samuel joined Corker Binning in September 2018.  Samuel formerly practiced as a self-employed barrister, where he had a broad common law practice with a specialism in crime.  Samuel has extensive experience in the preparation and presentation of cases in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts as well as the County and Companies Courts.

Areas of expertise

 

Samuel’s breadth of experience enables him to fully appreciate both the civil and criminal jurisdictions and better enables him to advise on the inter-relationship of parallel proceedings.

Samuel’s experience of criminal practice ranges from general crime through to fraud and offences pursuant to the Companies Act.  Samuel has appeared before the Crown Court in a number of hearings brought under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.  Samuel has experience of both defence and prosecution on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service, local authorities and regulatory bodies.

Career

Samuel Completed the Bar Professional Training Course at the City Law School in 2015. He holds a Master’s degree (LLM) with Distinction in International and Comparative Public Law from the University of Exeter, from where he also received a first class undergraduate degree in Law in 2013.

Samuel was called to the Bar in 2015, and completed pupillage at Farringdon Chambers before moving to Thomas More Chambers.
