Jessica Parker - Solicitor
Jessica Parker joined Corker Binning on qualification in March 2004 from a major City law firm. Since joining Corker Binning she has gained a broad experience of white collar crime - defending professionals, directors and companies in cases with charges ranging from conspiracy to defraud, to corporate manslaughter.
She has broadened her experience of white collar crime cases in investigations and prosecutions by the Health and Safety Executive, Department for Business Innovation and Skills (formerly BERR), Serious Fraud Office and HM Revenue & Customs. She also has a general crime practice and has represented a number of high profile clients.
Jessica has advised and defended a number of clients about the risk to them of criminal prosecutions originating overseas. She has practical knowledge of both extradition and mutual legal assistance procedure. She has acted in a number of cases connected to the prosecutions emanating from the break up of the Russian oil company, Yukos.
Jessica has co-authored an article for The Times relating to the application of the Fraud Act 2006 to premium rate phone-in television quiz shows.
She is former treasurer of the Young Fraud Lawyers Association and a member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association. She is also a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.
